TENET is crowd funding to create a recording that celebrates Italy's first professional women musicians. Jolle Greenleaf, Molly Quinn, and Virginia Warnken join forces to tell the story of these amazing women and the musical world they inhabited. Please consider being part of TENET’s recording project! We need your help to raise funds for essential costs so that we can share these rare gems with you and early music lovers everywhere!
TENET travels to Puerto Rico to take part in the renowned Festival Casals, and will be featured as soloists in Johann Sebastian Bach's seminal St. Matthew Passion, conducted by Helmut Rilling.
The Secret Lover is a creation designed to honor the professional female singers who became famous during the late Italian Renaissance in the Ferrara court known as the Concerto delle donne. Known for their artistry and praised as virtuose, they offered private, informal performances in courtly settings known as “secret music” (musica secreta) for members of the court’s inner circle and important visitors.
